India Cold Chain Show is an international event, which connects cold storage owners, end-users, service providers and logisticians. Scheduled to take place from December 4-6, 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East in Mumbai, the show will create opportunities for over 250 exhibitors from China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, France, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE and USA to converge and showcase innovations, market trends and latest technologies focused on cold storage, refrigeration, reefer transport as well as cold supply chain segments.

India’s cold chain market is expected to reach Rs. 2,618 billion by 2024, growing at a CAGR of 14.8% during 2019-2024, according to Research and Markets. Some of the major factors driving growth in the cold chain industry are rise in awareness towards healthier living leading to an increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, growth in the organised food retail sector, and increasing demand from the pharmaceutical sector.

Over a span of three days, attendees can discover latest technologies, connect with industry stakeholders, learn about industry trends and upgrade existing products and services. The 2019 edition of the show also boasts new show offerings such as Pharmaceutical Distribution Conference and Workshop as well as Hosted Buyer Program alongside India Cold Chain Summit.

The conference and workshop this year have been built around ‘Transforming the GAPS of India’s Cold Chain System into Opportunities’ to drive growth and development in the cold chain sector. Industry experts will congregate to focus on key topics such as ‘Cold Chain: The Next Big Thing in India’ along with engaging in brainstorming to understand the key challenges and advancements of Indian cold chain industry.

A session addressing the issue skill gap will also take place to highlight the need for creating a reformed workforce to elevate India’s standing in the cold chain market globally. Further, a session called The Solution Room has been designed to provide peer-supported advice on individuals’ most pressing problems where participants will be able to share their experiences with each other. A panel discussion on changing consumer behaviour and consumption patterns in Tier II and III cities will impact the growth story of India’s cold chain.
