Material handling apart, a sustained focus remains on the brand’s earth-moving products as well.
A name to reckon with in the domestic market for cranes and material handling, Action Construction Equipment (ACE) took the Excon 2019 platform to promote its latest products, including the next-generation pick and carry cranes (PNC) among others. The company is banking on the gradual acceptance of specialised and sophisticated machines by the local operators in the country, which will open up scope for newer products in material handling and earth-moving segments.
Speaking on ACE’s prime focus at the expo, Manoj Agarwal, CGM-Marketing and Product Support (HED vertical), said: “We are promoting our new generation pick and carry cranes that designed to be innovative and multi-purpose, including crane machines with a platform arrangement, that are suited for a variety of applications”. He also pointed at NX 360 full slew cum PNC Crane which can do articulation and 360-degree access, which is “taking material handling to the next level in terms of safety, innovation, and utility to customer”. The company is offering PNC cranes up to 25-ton lift capacity.
Next comes the truck mounted cranes, ranging from 25 to 55 ton lifting capacity, whose chassis, cabins, structure and boom are manufactured in-house by the company, along with best in class aggregates including engines and hydraulics from leading vendors. Agarwal commented that ACE will be expanding this product range with 60 and 80-ton class cranes before the end of this financial year, thereby offering complete range of solutions that can cater to over 90 per cent of customer requirements in various applications in the country.
ACE’s crane range also includes crawler cranes and tower cranes, ranging from 40 to 75 tonnage categories. “Over the years, we have built a strong reputation for material handling in the country. Although PNCs dominate the market, we see a great demand arising in the coming years for specialised and higher tonnage cranes, and hence we are starting afresh in the truck range to substantiate our position in the segment”, averred the CGM. He added that dedicated teams and strategies are in place to boost the company’s appeal in the earth-moving segments as well.
The Faridabad-based manufacturer claims to be registering a notable growth in the sales of motor-graders, compactors and vibratory rollers, backhoe loader, skid-steer machines, and fork-lifts in recent times. ACE has also tied up with Sunward for manufacturing high performance and rugged rotary piling rigs and other comprehensive solution for underground foundations which can find application in urban infrastructure and construction.
