AMW Motors Ltd., one of India’s prominent manufacturers of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, has announced the appointment of Mehrotra Automobiles as its sales and service dealer for Eastern Uttar Pradesh covering Allahabad, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Chitrakoot, Kausambia Jaunpur, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Gazipur, Mirzapur, Chandauli and Bhadohi. The dealership was inaugurated by Mr. Kunwar Reoti Raman Singh, MP, in the presence of Mr. R.N. Rao, Director – Marketing, AMW Motors.
The dealership facility has been set up keeping in view the growing market for AMW vehicles in the region and the need to provide customers a full range of services, including vehicle sales, financial assistance, maintenance, repair and spare parts support.
Mehrotra Automobiles is run by Mr. Prashant Mehrotra, a first-generation entrepreneur with several years of experience in consumer and finance industries. With its strong base in Allahabad, Mehrotra Automobiles has facilities to reach out to customers across eastern Uttar Pradesh with a dedicated team of qualified and experienced professionals.
Eastern Uttar Pradesh has a high potential for multi-axle haulage trucks, and with the Government’s special thrust on strengthening the infrastructure in the State, AMW foresees good demand for its tippers for the construction and road building segments. The growing activity in agriculture, sand and other aggregates is also expected to contribute to better offtake of tippers and transport vehicles in the medium and heavy truck categories.
