Making an appearance with ‘The Most Comfortable & Ergonomic Bus in Europe’ award-winner, Citiport which is given by the international Grand Jury in the ECW (European Coach Week) in Kortrijk, Anadolu Isuzu became a point of interest for many local and foreign sector representatives.
Mr. Tuðrul Arýkan, General Manager of Anadolu Isuzu, stated that despite the difficult situation in the early 2015, the commercial vehicle industry where the Anadolu Isuzu operates increased its volume by 30 per cent, while the automotive sector experienced a 25 per cent growth.
He said: “In 2015, we won many awards, including for Citiport. According to a study conducted by the Brand Finance, we are among the top 100 most valuable brands in Turkey. Moreover, our successful operations were also recognized with various awards won in areas like communication, environment and social responsibility. So, we had a good year that was promising and full of awards. And now, our key endeavors will be to maintain and build on these achievements. As an Anadolu Isuzu family, we are committed to achieve this goal.”
Award-winner
Giving a new impulse to public transportation, the 12-meter Isuzu Citiport was named ‘the Most Comfortable & Ergonomic Bus’ in Europe by the international Grand Jury at the ECW (European Coach Week) competition organized within the framework of Busworld Kortrijk Europe 2015, where it competed with five other vehicles for the grand prize in the category of Public Transportation Buses. Following the two-day intensive reviews and tests, the International Grand Jury awarded the Citiport with the ‘the Most Comfortable & Ergonomic Bus in Europe’ prize. Being the only Turkish bus winning an award at the Busworld event last year, Isuzu Citiport achieved a big success.
Thanks to its unrestricted transportation concept offered for city transportation, Citiport provides an easy and comfortable transportation access to all disabled passengers. The bus features a special colored space for passengers with wheelchair, information screens for hearing-impaired persons, high-contrast and audio information systems for visually impaired persons, and easily accessible support elements for mobility impaired passengers. With its kneeling function, the vehicle tilts down and enables easy entry and exit for passengers. Thanks to the tilting restricted up to 4.5 degrees within the vehicle, more comfortable travel is provided to the passengers with restricted mobility. And the 3-handrails facilitating hanging on for the passengers in the vehicle were first applied in the Citiport.
Citibus
Anadolu Isuzu’s 9-meter Citibus is designed for municipalities serving to towns with narrow roads and to under-populated locations. In comparison with longer buses, the Isuzu Citibus offers the most optimal solutions to current needs of modern cities, thanks to low investment, operational costs, high mobility and an optimal passenger capacity.
In its 2-door version with a Euro 6 Cummins engine providing 205 PS power output in 2,300 rpm, the Citibus has a total of 73 passenger capacity to carry 29 seated, 53 standing and 1 disabled passengers.
Novociti
Designed with the aim to provide new solutions to recent needs and expectations, in parallel with the latest trends in Europe, the Novociti was launched as a result of the comprehensive and client-oriented researches and development studies conducted by Anadolu Isuzu engineers.
Being the first vehicle with a disabled ramp in its class, the Novociti holds a commonrail turbo diesel intercooler Isuzu engine of which the quality is accepted globally. Having low fuel and maintenance costs, the Novociti offers a high maneuver capacity in public transportation with its 7.5 meter length.
Visigo
Being the flagship of tourism-purpose and intercity travels thanks to its modern style, specific design and ideal passenger capacity, the Isuzu Visigo enables its passengers to have a sunnier and more comfortable travel with its panoramic ceiling window commonly located in the frontal roof. Thanks to its automatically opening and closing curtain in all circumstances, it enables to regulate the sunlight penetrating inside as desired. And the 3-section glass ceiling offered to market optionally shows the Anadolu Isuzu’s difference in design. In the Visigo, which is the most spacious and tallest bus in its category, ergonomics and comfort are the most important features.
Commonly presenting the fully automated air conditioning (heating and cooling) system first time in its segment too, the Visigo enables comfortable travels both at warm of summer and cold of winter thanks to its 28.4 kW A/C capacity and 38.270 kcal/h heating capacity.
Prioritizing safety, the bus makes travels more secure, thanks to the front and rear disc brakes, a fully pneumatic brake system, a support exhaust brake with double-circuit automatically regulated ABS, an engine room fire detection and alarm system.
Having 35+1, 37+1 and 39+1 sitting options, depending on the client’s choice, the Visigo has its specially designed seats and larger cargo space per passenger (5.5 m3).
With the very aesthetic driver cabin designed for easy access of the drivers, resistant and power driver window, LED daylight driving headlights, heating and power mirrors, and a driver air conditioner, travels are more comfortable for Visigo operators. And the 250 L fuel tank capacity provides convenience for its users, enabling to buy more fuel at once.
Visigo introduced the multimedia set as an innovation to the market. It enables to use MP3, DVD, navigation and trip computer simultaneously on one display.
Turkuaz
Being the flagship of the Isuzu bus family, the Turkuaz offers high comfort for passengers. While adopting the comfort and safety level of a coach, it also offers the same agility, economy and manoeuvrability of a minibus. With its various seat options up to 33 seats, Turkuaz took part in the Busworld Istanbul Exhibition with its version of 21+1+1 passenger capacity and 2+1 seat layout.
Novo Lux
The Novo Lux features a Commonrail Turbo Diesel Intercooler Isuzu engine of 190 HP complying with the Euro 6 emission standard. The Novo Lux model of the Novo product range that has introduced many new features in terms of safety, commonly offers ABS and ASR brake systems. The Novo Lux buses are preferred for their cargo capacity, spacious interior, low fuel consumption and low operational costs.
