A regular participant at the ACMA Automechanika fair, Anand Pistons fiercely used the aftermarket-focused trade fair platform to engage its existing customers and interact with new buyers and distributors from various parts of the country. Being an export-oriented company, it has stepped up its reach in the domestic aftermarket with a brand of its own in recent years.
With almost pan-India presence in the automotive replacement market, the Agra-based company offers pistons, piston rings, block assemblies, and liners for a wide-range of vehicles from two-wheelers to heavy commercial vehicles and defence vehicles. About half of volume sales are supplied directly to OEMs including TAFE and Volvo (for air brake compressors).
“We are in this field for about four decades, with exports being our prime business revenue model. Domestic aftermarket is a different ball game altogether, and we are greatly prepared ourselves to sustain in this space as well”, said Mr. Jaswin Singh Anand, Joint Managing Director, Anand Pistons.
Asked on the visitors’ response to Anand Pistons’ presence at the expo, he replied that both foot fall and business enquiries were much better than previous editions. “We are doubling our capacity of our Agra manufacturing facility by next year. This will give us adequate support to our aftermarket outreach in the years to come”, revealed Mr. Anand, while adding that the motto of his company is to offer high-quality products at most competitive price.
Anand Pistons has developed over 400 piston types to accommodate various make and model requirements across vehicular segments including trucks and LCVs. With brighter market prospects in the upcoming financial year and expansion plans thereafter, the company aims to grow faster than before in the coming years.
