Apollo Tyres has opened the first Apollo CV Zone, its full-service branded commercial vehicle tyre outlet in eastern India, at Singur in West Bengal. Singur is a major transit point catering to fleets operating from the large transhipment hub of Dankuni in the State.
Inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Dahiya, Group Head, Sales – APMENA, Apollo Tyres Ltd., in the presence of Mr. Becharam Manna, Minister of State, the CV Zone is a 6,000 sq.ft. store located on the busy National Highway (NH-6) connecting West Bengal to North India under the north-eastern corridor of Golden Quadrilateral.
Apart from providing application-based tyre recommendation and sales for both, cross ply and radial tyres, the CV Zone offers wheel alignment, wheel balancing, professional tyre repair service and nitrogen gas inflation by company-trained staff. Additionally, the zone has a 12-seater training centre for fleet owners and customers.
Opened by Apollo’s long-term business partner, Madhusudan Traders, this CV Zone has two service bays and eight trained service personnel to service nearly 400 large and medium fleet operators based out of Dankuni. These fleet operators have approximately 4,000 commercial vehicles to cater to the transportation requirements of the industrial township of Dankuni.
With the opening of this outlet in eastern India, Apollo Tyres now has CV Zones in northern, eastern and southern parts of the country.
