Launches new GURU 1010, BOSS 1616 and BOSS 1916
Ashok Leyland has launched the latest variants of its successful Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) – the ‘GURU 1010’ and Medium Duty Vehicle (MDV) variants of the BOSS – the BOSS 1616 and BOSS 1916 in Mumbai. The GURU 1010 offers an ideal combination of best-in-class fuel efficiency and highest actual payload in the segment, ensuring maximum returns per kilometers for its owners. While, the BOSS 1616 and BOSS 1916 resonate aesthetic engineering, combining form and function to create the ultimate MDV for the perfect balance between payload and performance.

The GURU 1010 has been thoughtfully designed and built on four important pillars, mileage, payload, reliability and comfort, which are critical to the success of a business. It is equipped with the latest 3-cylinder UPCRS EXP engine. It has strong and stylish features including hydraulically tiltable day cabin; High sided deck; larger windshield for all-round visibility and 6 speed synchromesh GB with over drive, among others. Innovative design day cab with sleeping provision and other best-in-class features make the new GURU a new benchmark in the segment. It come with 4 different loading spans to cater various applications.

Ashok Leyland bags order for 1,290 buses from Gujarat SRTC
Ashok Leyland has announced that it has bagged an order for 1,290 buses from Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC). This order comes closely on the back of the 2,580-bus order received from various other State transport undertakings recently.
Speaking about this order, Mr. Vinod K. Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland, said: “We are very happy to receive the confirmation of this order from GSRTC. Our ability to bring value, combined with our superior technology and innovation will help us maintain our leadership position in buses in India.”
