Connected cars are a major challenge for the automobile sector. Automechanika, the world’s leading international trade fair brand for the automotive service industry, puts the focus on a variety of applications and functions in its new advertising campaign.
With the slogan ‘Get connected to the Automotive Service Industry’, the trade-fair brand leaves no doubt that it is ready for the future. “The proportion of connected cars will impact on the dynamism of the entire aftersales service market, and we anticipate new customers from a variety of fields, including IT, insurance, leasing and fleet management, for Automechanika”, says Mr. Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt.
Innovative companies and providers of services for the connected car are invited to take part in a special thematic world at the next Automechanika Frankfurt from September 13 to 17, 2016. Registration for the fair is now possible online at www.automechanika-frankfurt.com. The early-booking rate is valid until August 2, 2015.
With 14 fairs worldwide this year, the Automechanika trade fair brand is holding more events in the same year than since the process of internationalisation began in 1997. The latest member of the Automechanika family of fairs is Automechanika Chicago, which makes its debut at the McCormick Place exhibition centre in Chicago to be held during April 24-26 next. The fair is being organised in co-operation with Advanstar Communications, one of the biggest fair and exhibition companies of the US.
“We do not decide where the fairs are to be held. Our customers do. We have accepted the challenge to enter the fiercely competitive US trade fair market with Automechanika Chicago. Otherwise, the regional focus of our business outside Germany continues to be on Asia, especially China and India, and the EMEA economic area (Europe, the Middle East and Africa)”, explains Detlef Braun.
Altogether, the 14 Automechanika fairs organised by Messe Frankfurt on four continents currently stand for around 16,000 exhibitors and 600,000 trade visitors from over 170 countries. The fairs are supported by around 150 international sales partners and trade associations.
Basic and advanced training is a subject of ever-increasing importance at the trade fairs, which offer courses and seminars for specialists from the various automobile trades. The first Automechanika in Chicago is aimed in particular at automobile technicians and workshop proprietors. Workshops will also be held for the first time at Automechanika Moscow in August next.
Next year will see a further première, Automechanika Jeddah, which will open its doors to trade visitors from the Middle East at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events for the first time from January 26 to 28, 2016. It is being organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East GmbH, Dubai, in co-operation with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE).
Moreover, Messe Frankfurt is expanding its presence in the automotive sector with the company’s portfolio of events being supplemented by conferences and car and truck shows such as Comtrans in Moscow, the Automotive Engineering Show in India and the Connected Mobility conference in California.
Full details about the automotive events are available on the new website at automotive.messefrankfurt.com.
