Avvashya CCI (ACCI) Logistics is planning to go global in a big way. The company has drawn a strategic roadmap to expand its operational footprint by establishing a robust market presence in Kenya (East Africa) and Jebel Ali Free Zone, the UAE (Middle East). ACCI will be leveraging its proven market capabilities to provide technically-advanced warehousing services to global automotive majors who are in plans to set up vehicle assembly lines in Kenya.
Given the country’s prime position as the largest economy in East Africa and one of the largest consumer automobile markets in the African continent, the Kenyan Government is planning to develop it as a regional auto-manufacturing hub.
ACCI is also working towards expanding operations in the economically vibrant Gulf region by operating out of the bustling Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, the UAE. The company aims to provide warehousing services to automotive majors having a presence in the zone and intends to tap into players from the vehicle and transport sector which form a major part of the zone’s customer base.
Over the years, Dubai has emerged as a leading logistics and distribution hub for the automotive industry in the Arabian Gulf region. ACCI is also in discussions with the Government of Ras Al Khaimah for setting up a warehousing facility in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone.
Mr. Adarsh Hegde, Joint MD, Allcargo Logistics, said: “Emerging global market trends and trade insights point to the fact that the global economy is on a rebound. As global headwinds ebb, key economic sectors and industries around the world will witness exponential economic growth and expansion.
“The global automotive sector will be the key pivot around which the international economic growth story will unfold. We foresee an uptick in demand for specialized warehousing and logistics solutions for the sector as players plan to set up vehicle assembly lines in automotive hubs around the world. We believe this is the right time to scale up our operational capacities on a global level and expand our footprint in emerging overseas automotive hubs. We are fully focused on leveraging our proven operational expertise and brand recall in consolidating a niche presence in the global warehousing segment.” he added.
The global expansion initiatives of ACCI will be spearheaded by Mr. Anoop Chauhan, who has recently joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, ACCI Supply Chain. Mr. Chauhan brings to his current role more than 22 years of core experience in the Logistic/Supply Chain domain.
