Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, won the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) Golden Award in Six Sigma and 5S categories at the QCFI 27th Annual Convention held on September 18 at Vadodara in Gujarat. QCFI, a national body of professionals committed to assisting individuals and organizations in the implementation of Quality concepts, recognized and awarded Axalta India at the event. The convention invited more than 190 participants from across India to present case studies on quality concepts such as Quality Circle, Lean, Six Sigma 5S and Kaizen integrated with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). Two project teams from Axalta India presented best practices from case studies which included reduction in cycle time using Six Sigma methodology and 5S approach.
