The third edition of bC India 2014, the international trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles, is scheduled to be held at Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, during December 15-18.
bC India 2014 provides a platform for the construction and infrastructure sector to converge, network and do business through partnerships and joint ventures. The four-day exhibition is expected to host more than 700 exhibitors with most key industry players on board and to attract over 30,000 visitors from India and abroad.
The venue, spread over 120,000 sq. m., will see several industry giants such as Amman, Apollo, Aquarius, Bauer, Caterpillar, Doka, Fayat Group, GMMCO, Haulotte, Herrenknecht, Hess, Kobelco, Layher Liebherr, Liugong, L&T, Potain, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Peri, Putzmeister, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Terex, TIPL, Wacker Neuson, Wirtgen and many others display their prowess in the segment.
Says Mr. Igor Palka, CEO, bC Expo India Pvt. Ltd.: “I have been personally meeting various bodies, forums and government departments to gauge the market sentiments. From what I have understood, the market sentiments seem positive after the Lok Sabha elections. Yes, the market is still inching ahead cautiously, but there is definitely an optimistic mood. I am more than happy that we have already numerous stakeholders on board, and many new companies will be present this year too. Of course, there are still a lot of things to be organized. However, we are totally on track”.
In order to make the registration process easier, the show organizers have created an easy online registration process this year as in the last edition. Here, visitors can not only register for the show but also plan their itinerary accordingly. Apart from saving Rs. 500 by registering online, one can avoid standing in the queue and avail the free shuttle service to the venue from various spots in and around Delhi.

“Besides keeping up with technology to reach out to the audience, we are also addressing our stake-holders a little differently. In just last few months I have engaged with industry bodies such as the Indian Roadway Foundation, the Karnataka Road Development Corporation (KRDCL), the Punjab Roads & Bridges Development Board, etc. We have also met various key stake-holders across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Telengana, Seema Andhra, West Bengal and Rajasthan and cities like Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Chennai, Raipur and Kolkata. During these engagements we have ensured some key bridge buildings with exhibitors on the sidelines of the show”, adds Mr. Palka.
“While we made inroads into various parts of India, I was touched by the destruction due to the recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir. This has made me revaluate how we as a responsible event organizer could raise awareness within our community to address such disasters. At the end of the day, it’s these very construction equipment that come to use for clearing debris and carrying out restoration work post such incidents. Hence, we are toying with the idea of introducing a ‘Disaster Management Workshop’ during the show. Also we will try and request our exhibitors to talk about safety drills and procedures adopted by them as we feel such initiatives could help raise awareness about disasters and how to tackle them”, he says.
