The market has grown, mainly after the pandemic. We see that the market is growing and we are optimistic about the future. Our main market is Europe, and we are also strong in Canada, North America, while we are expanding in South America, China and India. We have an innovation and development section where people are working on various products. Responsive to Customers
Bezares SA has an ever-growing range of products which they have developed in response to what the customer has been requiring for various applications. Over the years, various applications demand efficiency in products in terms of power, torque, speed and light-weighting. Suresh J. Williams, Managing Director of Bezares Alpha Drives India, elaborated: “’We have innovative products for all these areas, as for example, even in something like shifting. Instead of just plain mechanical shifting, we have come up with very reliable electrical shifting, especially for the smaller vehicles.”
“This will also be suitable for Indian customers. Here at the show, you see a lot of vehicles in the sub two-tonne category and all of them have some hydraulics for city applications, not just for transporting people but for carrying vegetable produce or recovery vehicles. All of them are equipped with hydraulics. We are getting equipped for the e-revolution not just in Europe and America but also in India. We have started developing a gearbox for electric vehicles which I feel will suit a lot of the city applications,” he added.
Technology Advantage for India
Suresh believes that Alpha Drives partnership with Bezares SA will go much beyond product development and also pave the way for innovation and customised solutions for the Indian market. “Our partnership with Bezares group is opening up the technological expertise that they have developed over decades. We are able to extend higher warranties to our customers from a normal one-year warranty. Plus, we are able to confidently go much beyond that to OEMs and also able to improve our testing facilities,” he said.
“Small things, as for instance, our heat treatment checking and process improvements have improved our products, their reliability and life,” he added. Emphasising further on the collaboration he concluded: “Bezares wants to serve India not only as a market but also to develop it as a manufacturing hub for the global markets. They view our company as a major manufacturing plant for parts and assemblies not just for the near East but also for Mexico, Europe and the US. So, we are developing parts for them wherein some parts have been already validated and we are starting series production.”
