The FIAA-International Bus and Coach Trade Fair will be held during October 23-26 where the advances and developments in the industry over the last two years will be presented over four days. Besides the proposals that coach builders and chassis manufacturers plan to present at FIAA, the supply industry has also developed interesting devices to improve the comfort and safety of passengers on the road. Visitors will see the latest advances in intelligent transport systems, vehicle air-conditioning, billing or ticketing, among others.
Among the innovations on show, Hispacold presents its new range of electrical HVAC systems whose modular design can adjust its configuration to the specifications of the customer and adapts both to warm climates and the most extreme ones. The company also presents at FIAA, among other developments, its eCo3 Air Purifier, which, once installed in public transport vehicles, generates sufficient negative ions and ozone to decrease the levels of bacteria, viruses, odours, allergenic particles and fungi.
Its use can alleviate respiratory problems, reduce possible infection from diseases, migraines, dizziness and fatigue, both for the driver and the passengers of the vehicle.
Also in the HVAC field, DIAVIA AIR and WEBASTO will present their joint catalogue for the first time. This includes climate control solutions for commercial vehicles and buses that combine heating and refrigeration in a single device.
Comfort for bus and coach passengers is also improved with the introduction of new on-board entertainment possibilities. With this in mind, AUDIOBUS will show its latest developments in television, video and DVD and show the possibilities that its Wireless Router offers in providing passengers with internet access in two versions: free or charged access.
AUDIOBUS also designs surveillance solutions and a rear-view system and highlights among its latest products an innovative TFT 10.2 inch rear-view monitor, as well as a mirror that allows the driver to see up to three cameras simultaneously without external devices.
Also related to on-board services, Prima Industries presents its new wireless range of more stylized push-buttons EasySTOP Slim.
They are models which are easily installed on 30-32 millimetre/35-38 millimetre diameter bars or directly on the walls of the vehicle and are available in grey, red or blue. Colours and logos can likewise be adapted to the needs of every customer.
In the field of access improvement, MASATS will present the electrical version of a new concept of the 029G swinging door at FIAA. The main goals of the project have been to improve integration of the door into the vehicle and speed of assembly.
The electrical version will be presented at the coming IAA and FIAA fairs, but the pneumatic version will also be available. The guide system of the top roller is positioned below the door lintel to avoid unnecessary machining of the air circulation covers. At the same time, it reduces noise and vibrations, allowing smoother movement of the door.
As for safety, MUNTATGES VIDAL TORRENTS S.L. will explain all the advantages of their child restraint system in coaches, which can be installed in both new coaches and units already in use. One of its proposals is the adaptable child seat, which uses a rapid and intuitive anchor system with a three-point seatbelt. It is also easily foldable and stackable, resistant and easy to clean.
Payment systems are developing to make paying easier for passengers and drivers. With this in mind, SCAN COIN has developed the RCSpt device which, thanks to its software, receives the data sent from the vehicle on completion of the service through wireless technology.
so that when the money is taken the driver is asked for the exact amount, payment is made securely and there is a new feature which allows you to change coins into notes, etc., reducing the formalities of manually counting out and squaring up the cash.
Among the comprehensive automation and control systems on offer, BUSMATICK GROUP will present different solutions such as note validators, both contact and contactless, passenger-counting turnstiles, portable equipment and relocation solutions.
Among the features on offer, the company will display the Sigla smart card payment system for buses. This system combines three areas within the company: payment control, fleet control and passenger information.
Engineering and systems company ISIS will explain at FIAA its model proposal TAURO, a high performance carefully designed modern ticketing and payment system. It is a light, ergonomic and easy to use device.
It has an illuminated TFT Touch leds 5.7” wide screen. It also stands out for its fast self-cutting thermal printer with semi-automatic paper changing facility. Likewise, it incorporates smart card readers with chip or with bar code reader.
In the field of vehicle maintenance, FIAA will host SEFAC, a company that manufactures and markets mobile column lifts, which will present the new Essential column lift, with a capacity of 6.5 tons per unit or 26 tons in total.
Essential has a lifting speed of 500 millimetres per minute and a 2.2 Kw motor. Its size stands at 1050 x 1050 x 2535 millimetres. The new column can be completed with accessories such as a jack to remove the gearbox, protection covers, large trestles, bracket adapters, sleepers and flat sleepers.
