It saw a challenge with low engine speed on last mile delivery vans moving across congested city roads, which led to direct drive compressors not achieving enough cooling capacity. To meet this requirement Carrier introduced the PulsorTM refrigeration unit for Light Commercial Vehicles, featuring its E-DriveTM all-electric technology which eliminates the road compressor and replaces it with a small electric generator which powers a hermetic compressor delivery constant rpm.
Carrier’s VientoTM range, an ideal solution for city distribution delivery vans, and its CitifreshTM range for transporting chilled products on medium- to large- commercial vehicles are two other examples of products that cater to the challenging requirements of a market like India.
