CASE Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH Industrial, has made rapid inroads in the Indian market with its quality CE range. Excon 2017 saw the company unveil a new vibratory tandem compactor, a backhoe loader and an only loader.
In an exclusive chat with MOTORINDIA at the company stall, Mr. Shalabh Chaturvedi, Head – Marketing, CASE New Holland Construction Equipment (India) Private Ltd., gave detailed insights into the new launches. The 752EX vibratory tandem compactor is expected to further strengthen CASE’s leadership position in the compactor segment.
The 752 EX is equipped with a fuel-efficient, 3.9 liter, 4-cylinder engine, with a mechanical injection system and internal exhaust gas recirculation that delivers 76 HP at 2200 rpm and torque of 332 Nm at 1300 rpm. The operator compartment features a rotating operator seat which gives excellent front and rear drum/nozzle visibility, making the drive and compaction process easier and safer.
The PRO Series backhoe loader and the 770 EX OL Only Loader are customized to India’s specific requirements. It is powered by a 3.9 liter, 4-cylinder FPT Industrial S8000 engine with a mechanical injection system. This delivers powerful performance and fast responses, coupled with 5% higher productivity and fuel savings of up to 10% versus comparable products in the market. The new model has a redesigned spacious cab with operator-friendly features such as a large buddy seat, storage compartments, mobile charger, document holder, bottle holder, radio, etc.
Apart from the above-mentioned machines, the company also displayed for the first time the 2050 M dozer and the 110 EX soil compactor, in addition to graders, skid steer loaders and backhoe loaders.
According to Mr. Chaturvedi this wide range of equipment illustrates the brand’s ability to cater for activities as diverse as urban construction, road building, infrastructure, mining and agriculture.
Happy with response
CASE produces its compactors and backhoe loaders at its Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh. In addition to meeting its domestic needs, the facility also exports to markets in the Asia Pacific region, Africa and the Middle East.
“We are very happy about the response. The footfalls have been heavy. We are experiencing nearly 25-30% more visitors than in the last edition of Excon. The enthusiastic response reflects the positive sentiments prevailing in the market,” Mr. Chaturvedi said.
To fulfil business queries on site at the venue, CASE’s commercial, product support and finance teams were available to demonstrate and provide information on the brand’s portfolio of business solutions, financing packages, extended warranties, maintenance programmes, competitive ownership costs, and aftersales and technical service.
