CEBBCO founded in 1979, is a manufacturers of vehicle and locomotive bodies for diverse applications for road and railways transportation. The company is also one of the leading designers and manufacturers in India of vehicle bodies for commercial vehicles with an extensive portfolio of product offerings.
CEBBCO primarily focuses on producing vehicle bodies for commercial vehicles industry for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) engaged in the manufacture of fully built vehicles. CEBBCO caters to the requirements in varied industries and sectors with a wide range of products, vehicle bodies designed and manufactured by the company. The company believes in building relationships and has esteemed clients like Tata Motors Ltd., Ministry of Defence, Reliance Petroleum, Reliance Industries, Ashok Leyland, VE Commercial Vehicles (a JV between Volvo Group of Companies and Eicher Motors), amongst others.
In late 2008, CEBBCO expanded its product offering to cater to the Railways, and has received orders from the Indian Railways. The company conducts refurbishment of wagons as well as designing and manufacturing of components for wagons and locomotives in the Railways Division.
CEBBCO currently operates five factories, four of which are located in the state of Madhya Pradesh and the fifth is located in the state of Jharkhand. The company’s production facilities have been certified for ISO/TS 16949:2002 and also ISO 9001:2008 certification for the manufacturing of railway freight wagons, passenger coaches and metal fabricated components, assembly and testing of bogies and air brake systems for wagons, coaches and locomotives. Going further, CEBBCO intends to set up a new factory near Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh with facilities for the manufacture of wagons and EMU Coaches (“Railway Project”).
CEBBCO clocked a turnover of Rs. 180 crores and net profit of Rs. 21 crores for the last fiscal. The refurbishing of wagons for Indian Railways fetched Rs. 30 crores for the company last fiscal.
