Bosch Power Tools India, a leading supplier of power tools for the construction, woodworking, and metalworking industry, has announced the rollout of the 10-millionth power tool from its plant located in Oragadam, Chennai, a feat that demonstrates its engineering and manufacturing prowess. The facility came up in Chennai in mid-2015 and currently manufactures over 60 power tools, which includes eight types of power tools for artisans and tradesmen.
The power tools plant in Chennai is well-aligned with Bosch’s Made in India strategy and has become India’s key supplier of power tools both in terms of value and volume. This manufacturing facility spread over two acres is driven by a motivated team of women workforce that boasts an outstanding collaboration with the India sales, marketing and logistics operations. Having won three consecutive Bosch Excellence Awards from 2016-2018, Bosch’s Power Tools plant in Chennai has become a strong pillar for the business in India.
The plant manufactures Bosch’s featured product range such as angle grinders, Impact drills, air blowers, rotary hammers, and rotary drills. One of the products manufactured here is exported across the Globe. Bosch’s plant in Chennai is certified with quality environment and safety standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
