Delphi Product & Service Solutions (DPSS) – Delphi’s business unit focusing on aftermarket – demonstrated its market strength by displaying its diverse range of products for the Indian automotive aftermarket. Adding to its existing product portfolio that includes Chassis, Maintenance, Vehicle Electronics and Thermal, DPSS displayed two new product lines for the first time in the Indian market, evoking very good overall response at the fair.
Mr. Faisal Matin, Country Director, India & Sub – Continent, DPSS, said: “We are showcasing our strength in the aftermarket across the current product categories we have developed in India. We presently offer over 1,500 SKU’s in our product portfolio. We see steering & suspensions and brakes as one of the major growth segments for the future. Globally, we are very strong in steering & suspension parts and brakes and are bringing the same capabilities to the Indian market. We have also introduced our R134-A refrigerants and wiper blades for the Indian aftermarket here at ACMA Automechanika.”
With a portfolio of products across different categories, DPSS has an advantage making it a more complete product and solutions provider than most others in the field. Delphi has been present in the Indian market for more than 15 years and has a keen understanding of local requirements, backed by its global experience in the aftermarket.
“DPSS brings an expertise of mature markets to emerging countries like India. As the India Aftermarket evolves, there are many market signs available for us to quickly adapt to the changes and align our portfolio to the local needs. Being a global organization, we are committed to bring a sustainable competitive advantage and develop a long term value preposition to launch more new products in the India & Sub Continent Aftermarket”, adds Mr. Matin.
While DPSS continuously works on expanding its distributor network and customer base across the country, the outfit has been one of the early-movers in the e-retail space with its products available on major e-retail sites including Amazon and Snapdeal. “We are consciously focusing on how the e-retail segment in the auto component segment would shape up, but given its potential and the scope that exists for digital penetration, we are already there”, he remarks.
Looking ahead into the future, DPSS considers the remainder of 2017 to be an exciting period for the Indian market, primarily since GST would come into action before the end of the year in all probability. While the company considers 2016 as a year of learning, it is hopeful that GST would make a lot of difference to the aftermarket trade and bring about a change in landscape in the market.
