After a successful acquisition of Innorex Technologies in Korea, DH Lighting showcased its new capabilities to offer LED lighting modules for automotive headlamps and rear combination lamps in India. The company is targeting both OEM and aftermarket business in LED modules in the domestic market.
Talking exclusive to MOTORINDIA, Tom Chae, General Manager – Sales Division, DH Lighting (Korea), said: “With our recent acquisition of Innorex, DH Lighting is all set to offer a complete range of lighting solutions for cars including that of halogen filaments, xenon, LED bulbs and modules. Innorex is a leading supplier of LED modules to Korean and international OEMs like Hyundai and Kia Motors, with high-technology products and strong production facilities in Korea, Vietnam, and China”,
DH Lighting India aims to leverage the emerging space for LEDs in the Indian market, as the company can develop LED modules of any kind – head lamps, tail lamps, and interior lighting assemblies – for its existing OEM customers, while also exploring new products for the domestic aftermarket. According to Chae, the market adoption of LEDs will rapidly increase in the immediate future globally, and India is moving in that direction as well.
The company is expecting further growth in the aftermarket space. Consumer preference is rapidly moving towards LED lighting systems which are more effective and aesthetically appealing, especially for two-wheelers, passenger cars, and SUV, it claims.
