Eaton has launched its NoSPIN range of torque control products for the Indian market to add to its existing automotive product 
offerings of valves, transmissions and clutches in the country. Eaton is a leading producer of torque control differentials for vehicle manufacturers and for the automotive aftermarket which includes vehicle and traction dynamics which it has now brought to India.
Showcased for the first time in a fair, the new products were looked at with great interest by senior executives from leading truck and off-highway equipment manufacturers. NoSPIN maximizes traction by delivering 100 per cent of the torque and power to both the drive wheels. It is engineered to keep both of them in a constant drive mode, and yet has the ability to automatically ‘unlock’ during vehicle turning to allow necessary wheel speed differentiation.
While conventional differentials allow vehicles to get struck when they lose traction on one side, NoSPIN continues to drive the vehicle even if one of the wheels is suspended in the air. It is also trouble-free and does not require special lubricants or service adjustments.
Eaton has already done field trials with some of its customers in India, and the results are quite encouraging. Says Mr. S.
