As the case with previous IMME editions, Eaton took part in this year’s mining expo with a slew of new products and technology for vehicles and equipment used in the mining industry. The company has three verticals applicable to this industry – Vehicle Aggregates, Hydraulics, and Electrical solutions.
Said Mr. Shandar Alam, Managing Director – India, Vehicle and Hydraulics, Eaton: “We are excited to be part of IMME, as this is the right place to reach out to our OE customers and end product users in the mining sector. We have displayed our latest offerings for the sector at the expo, the response has been quite promising”. He also added that Eaton has a good presence in the replacement market in this mining-rich region, through channel partners and distributors to cater directly to end customers.
Eaton’s mining vehicle related products includes truck transmissions (6-speed and 9-speed) for on-road tippers used in mines and off-highway trucks, clutch systems, wide-angle steering control units for mining dumpers, etc. The next group of products includes hydraulic power units, cylinders, pumps and control, heavy-duty hoses, calibration solutions, industrial brakes and clutches for grinding and dragline applications in mining, and so on. The company is also offering softwares, digital systems, and IoT-based solutions to support its own products and systems.
The company also said that it is aggressively working on AMT technology for truck applications, along with the commercialisation of telematics-based solutions to monitor the efficiency of hydraulic systems used in mining processes.
