Eicher branded trucks and buses have registered sales of 3,687 units in May 2013 as compared to 3,587 units in May 2012, representing a growth of 2.8 per cent. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 19,992 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 21,995 units, representing a drop of 9.1 per cent.
In the domestic CV market (5T and above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 3,488 units as compared to 3,432 units in May 2012, representing a growth of 1.6 per cent. YTD 2013 sales stand at 19,190 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 20,918 units, representing a drop of 8.3 per cent.
In the domestic 5-14T LMD truck segment, the company recorded sales of 1,833 units in May 2013 as compared to 1,899 units in May 2012, representing a drop of 3.5 per cent. YTD 2013 sales stand at 11,600 units (13,467 units), representing a fall of 13.9 per cent.
In the domestic bus segment, May sales stand at 1,240 units as compared to 932 units in May last year, representing a 33 per cent growth. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 4,560 units (3,777 units), representing a 20.7 per cent growth.
In the heavy duty truck segment (16T and above), May 2013 sales stand at 415 units as compared to 601 units in May 2012, representing a 30.9 per cent drop. YTD 2013 Eicher HD sales stand at 3,030 units (3,674 units), representing a drop of 17.5 per cent.
