Elofic Industries Ltd., one of the leading filter manufacturers, has put up an excellent performance during 2017-18. Despite the various challenges being faced by the automotive sector including the after-effects of the demonetization and GST, Elofic has done extremely well by achieving a record turnover of Rs. 250 crores during the year, which is 20% higher than in the previous year.
Among the various factors contributing to the company’s growth is a remarkable increase in exports. During the year, the company registered a 30% growth in exports to several countries, of which the US market accounted for a major portion.
These remarks were made by Mr. Pawan Sharma, Vice President – Domestic Business, Elofic, in an informal chat with MOTORINDIA’s Editor in New Delhi recently.
Mr. Sharma said that, though Elofic has started its journey with filter production, it has added new products such as coolants, air purifiers, etc., to the list. These products have received tremendous response from the market, and the company is also set to expand its pan-India sales network in the near future. However, the filter business remains the company’s major focus area, and Elofic is among the few companies in India to make filters for the entire automotive industry. He also added that Elofic is the only filtration company in India which has launched air purifiers
Product recognition
Elofic filters have always enjoyed a good recognition among the OEs as well as the aftermarket segment of the automotive industry. Thanks to the constant improvement being effected in product technology, many of the OEMs recognise Elofic as the best brand to source. As a recognition to the company products and performance, they honour the company with the presentation of the Best Supplier Award year after year. Very recently, Maruti Suzuki Ltd., the country’s largest car manufacturer and Royal Enfield (India) a leading Indian motorcycle manufacturer have presented “Comprehensive Excellence Award” and “Best Supplier Award” to Elofic respectively.
