Simpson & Company Ltd., estab-
lished in 1840, is one of the fore-
most and largest independent diesel
engine manufacturers in India and is
a part of the Amalgamations Group,
a light engineering conglomerate
with strong presence in the automo-
tive industry.
Simpson is a dominant player in all market segments
it serves, such as agricultural, industrial and gensets.
Backed by in-house design, product engineering and
manufacturing capabilities, Simpson engines are known
for durability, reliability and efficiency in performance
and therefore established itself as a trusted partner with
many leading OEMs. In the tractor industry, its engines
have become the most preferred choice among custom-
ers.
The company has developed a series of engines to
cater to the agricultural, industrial and genset segments
meeting the current and future emission norms from
15hp to 95hp in two, three and four cylinder naturally
aspirated and turbo-charged versions.
The company is aware of the necessity to provide the
best product support in order to retain its market share,
besides enlarging it. In this direction, the company has
developed a wide parts and service network across the
country to meet the individual and specific demands of
OEMs in different segments. The service network is
backed by availability of genuine Simparts through its
200+ dealer network.
With all this endeavour, Simpson has achieved a
sales volume of 1,63,000 engines last year, and with
the support of long-standing customers all over In-
dia and globally, it is aiming to achieve a milestone
of 2,00,000 engine sales for the current year.

Simpson has a full-fledged training centre with mod-
ern facilities in Chennai and tailor-made courses are
conducted throughout the year to cater to the staff
of dealers and OEMs at different levels. Training
programmes can also be conducted at the customers’
premises depending on the number of participants.
