Eicher sales up 25%
The sale of 5,051 units in Decem-
ber by Eicher Trucks and Buses is
25.3 per cent higher than that in De-
cember 2010. The year 2011 figure
stands at 48,337 units as compared
to the 2010 figure of 38,181 units,
representing a growth of 27 per cent.
The company has recorded a
growth of 32 per cent in the do-
mestic CV market (5T & above) in
December compared to December
2010. The YTD 2011 figure stands
at 45,229 units as compared to
35,464 units, representing a growth
of 28 per cent.
In the 5-12t light & medium duty
truck segment it has recorded 18 per
cent growth in domestic market. The
December 2011 figure (5-12 T seg-
ment) stands at 3,197 units (2,706
units). The YTD 2011 figure stands
at 31,381 units (26,426 units), repre-
senting a growth of 19 per cent.
In the bus segment, Eicher has
registered a 89 per cent growth. The
December 2011 sales stand at 376
units (199 units). The YTD 2011
figure stands at 6,496 units (4,819
units), representing a growth of 35
per cent.
The heavy-duty Eicher trucks
have recorded a growth of 80 per
cent over December 2010 in the do-
mestic market. The December 2011
sales are the highest-ever monthly
sales and stand at 939 units (521
units). The YTD 2011 figure stands
at 7,352 units (4,219 units), register-
ing a 74 per cent.
On the export front, the company
has recorded a sale of 539 units in
December 2011. YTD exports stand
at 3,108 units registering a 14 per
cent growth.

Tata Motors Group
global sales up 33%
The Tata Motors Group global
wholesales, including Jaguar Land
Rover, were 99,853 units in December
2011, higher by 33 per cent over De-
cember 2010. Cumulative sales for the
fiscal were 809,872 units, higher by 27
per cent.
Global sales of all commercial ve-
hicles – Tata, Tata Daewoo and the
Tata Hispano Carrocera range – were
48,099 units in December 2011, a
growth of 28 per cent. Cumulative
sales for the fiscal were 362,745 units,
a growth of 27 per cent.
Global sales of all passenger vehi-
cles were at 51,754 units in Decem-
ber, higher by 38 per cent. Cumulative
sales for the fiscal were 447,127 units,
higher by 26 per cent.
Global sales of Tata passenger vehi-
cles and the distribution offtake in In-
dia of Fiat cars were at 20,773 units for
the month, higher by 28 per cent over
December 2010. Cumulative sales for
the fiscal were 31 per cent higher at
230,715 units.
Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover
in December were at 30,981 vehicles,
higher by 45 per cent over Decem-
ber 2010. Jaguar sales for the month
were 4,726 units, higher by 9 per cent,
while Land Rover sales were 26,255
units, up by 54 per cent. Cumulative
sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fis-
cal were 216,412 units, higher by 22
per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar
were 39,921 units, down by 7 per cent,
while cumulative sales of Land Rover
were 176,491 units, higher by 31 per
cent.
