KSPG AG and four divisions to present
entire product range
KSPG AG, with its subsidiaries,
Pierburg GmbH, Pierburg Pump
Technology GmbH and KS Gleit-
lager GmbH, as well as the Motor
Service Division, will be showcas-
ing its products at Auto Expo for
emission reduction such as electric
and pneumatic EGRs as well as
EGR radiator modules for a Euro 4
application.
Pierburg
Pump
Technology
GmbH, a specialist in automotive
pumps, will be presenting pneumat-
ic water and vacuum pumps as well
as variable on-demand oil pumps
for reduced fuel consumption and
less CO
2
emissions. KS Gleitlager
GmbH is presenting its entire prod-
uct range of high-duty plain bear-
ings.
Since 2007, Pierburg India Private
Ltd. in Pune has been producing
components for emission reduction
as well as pumps for the Indian au-
tomotive industry.
Only in October last, had KSPG
taken over the plain bearing opera-
tions of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd.
(KOEL) in Pune. KOEL is India’s
biggest producer of plain bearings
and focuses mainly on the Indian
home market. The company has
more than 60 years of experience
in producing plain bearings, and,
with around 600 employees at the
Ahmednagar and Pune plants, gen-
erated sales of about Euro 20 million
in this sector in 2010-11.
The KOEL range of plain bearings
comprises bearings, bushings and
thrust washers for engines, mainly
for the passenger and commercial
vehicle as well as the agricultural
machinery sectors. Among the com-
pany’s customers are Maruti, Mahi-
ndra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hy-
undai, Ford and Honda.
Two further KSPG subsidiaries
are also operating in India: KS Kol-
benschmidt GmbH holds 20 per cent
in Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd. The
piston producers share a long-stand-
ing partnership, in which the Indian
company successfully manufactures
Kolbenschmidt pistons under li-
cence.
KS
Aluminium-Technologie
GmbH (ATAG) within the group
specializes in engine blocks and cyl-
inder heads and bolsters its market
presence through a licence agree-
ment with Jaya Hind Industries Ltd.
in Pune. The agreement covers de-
velopment and production of cylin-
der heads, crankcases, bedplates and
additional castings for national and
international carmakers as well as
other automotive vendors.
Auto Expo, an event regarded as
a trend-setter for future technologies
in the Indian automotive and en-
gine sector, is comparable to IAA in
Frankfurt. According to estimates,
the booming Indian motor vehicle
market will rank internationally
No.3 by 2030.

“In India, ‘Made in Germany’
enjoys very high prestige, and so
we expect a large turnout at the
German Pavilion. We will mainly
be displaying products from our
Indian plant, presently in use by
OEMs and fulfilling current emis-
sion standards.”
