Aluminium die-casting involves
casting of liquid aluminium alloys
into metal moulds to get the pre-
ferred shape. What makes die-cast-
ing play an important role in the au-
tomotive industry is its lightweight.
Apart from being lightweight and
hard-wearing it also has good elec-
trical and thermal conductivity. The
die-casting products that are used by
the automotive sector include cylin-
ders, pistons and engine sumps.
