Greaves Cotton wins Tata Motors’
Excellence in Delivery Award
Greaves Automotive Division,
part of Greaves Cotton Ltd., one of
India’s leading engineering com-
panies, won the Award for Excel-
lence in Delivery at Tata Motors
Vendors’ Meet 2012 held in Pune
on June 4. Ramping up volumes for
meeting the demand for engines for
Ace Zip and Magic Iris, Greaves
Automotive Division exceeded cus-
tomer expectations and responded
efficiently to the requirements from
Tata Motors.
Greaves Automotive Division
has a wide portfolio in automo-
tive engines, and in single cylinder
engines it is among the largest in-
dependent manufacturers with an
annual production of over 4.5 lakh
engines. These light diesel engines,
which are eco-friendly and conform
to the BS-III norms, are supplied to
major automotive players like Piag-
gio, M&M, Tata Motors, Scooters
India, etc.
The company’s manufacturing
units, located at Ranipet in Tamil
Nadu and Aurangabad in Mahar-
ashtra, are ISO/TS 14649 certified.
The plants at both the locations are
equipped with world class manu-
facturing facilities. The company’s
state-of-the-art Technology Centre
is located at Aurangabad. The au-
tomotive diesel engines are also
available for adaptation on CNG/
LPG usage.
Greaves Cotton has an excel-
lent after-market product support
infrastructure with a countrywide
network of offices and over 400 au-
thorised dealers.
