Germany remains world champion
in exports: IGCC Director-General
The Indo-German Training Centre
(IGTC), an educational and train-
ing initiative of the Indo-German
Chamber of Commerce (IGCC),
conducts a unique, industry-focused
post graduate program in business
administration (PGPBA) based on
the German Dual Education System.
At IGTC, students are groomed to
meet managerial challenges posed
by changing business environment.
Spread over 18 months, the pro-
gram is divided into four theory
phases at the centre extending for 12
months and practical training phases
in German and Indian companies for
six months. This program is a per-
fect blend of theoretical learning and
practical application of learnt con-
cepts and theories.
The Würth Group of Germany re-
cently signed an MoU with IGTC for
a professional management training
programme in Chennai based on the
German Dual Educational System.
The objective here is to dynamically
develop the employees of the com-
pany to enable them face the chal-
lenges and contribute their ideas and
creativity towards promotion of the
company achievements as part of its
corporate culture.
The MoU was signed between
Mr. Bernhard Steinruecke, IGCC
Director General, and Mr. Benjamin
Würth, Head of Business Develop-
ment Asia, Würth Group, at a spe-
cial function organised in Chennai.
Addressing the function, Mr.
Steinruecke said IGTC has been
offering training in India for many
years, and the MoU just signed was
another milestone in the Chamber’s
activities. No wonder, the success of
the German companies with a popu-
lation of just 80 million in that coun-
try is mainly attributed to four basic
functions, i.e., the performance of
German SMEs, the occasional train-
