the company to serve its customers
across the country with minimum
lead time and at competitive cost.
PCP has its manufacturing facilities
at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Pune in
Maharashtra, Hosur in Tamil Nadu

In an exclusive interview to MO-

PCP Managing Director, said the
company is currently setting up a
new plant in Thailand in the name
of Paracoat Asia with an estimated
turnover of Rs. 10 crores. Produc-
tion is scheduled to commence by
June, and this new facility will meet
the growing demand for the com-
pany products in Thailand as well as
in the other Asian countries such as
Indonesia, Australia, etc.
Increasing focus on
commercial vehicles
He said his company is also the
leading supplier of automotive com-
ponents and accessories for various
automobile manufacturers, includ-
ing major commercial vehicle mak-
ers such as Tata Motors, Ashok
Leyland, AMW, Daimler, Eicher,
MAN-Force and Mahindra Navis-
tar, with added thrust on this seg-
ment.
Mr. Poddar further disclosed that
PCP has diversified into custom-
built vehicle manufacturing by es-
tablishing a new firm known as PCP
Motors which has already developed
Terra Home Car that was on display
at Auto Expo 2012 as well as at De-
fence Expo held in New Delhi re-
cently. This plant, coming up at the
company’s new greenfield facility
at Manesar, will attract an invest-
ment of Rs. 10 crores. While most
of the components and accessories
fitted in the vehicle are indigenised,
PCP has entered into an agreement
with Vantech of Japan for its design
technology, while woodden par-
ticles are sourced from New Zea-
land. This concept vehicle, built on
the platform of Mahindra Genio, is
most ideal for travel and tour op-
erators, corporate houses, Defence,
entertainment, infrastructure-related
companies, etc. Costing Rs. 35 la-
khs, the vehicle comes with several
attractive built-in features. Since
PCP has already received several
enquiries, order bookings for the
much-awaited Terra concept vehicle
will begin from June, he added.
Mr. Rajesh Poddar, with his rich
experience in the field of automo-
biles, has put in a lot of meticulous
effort in developing the concept ve-
hicle and has his vision to make it a
runaway success.
Partners in progress
The PCP success over the years
is mainly attributed to the technical
strength from its partners who are
the world leaders in their respective
field. For instance, it has its techni-
