ENI Lubricants, a joint venture of ENI Italy and Apar Industries of India, caters to all vehicle segments, including commercial vehicles, the CE sector, industrial and marine sectors with specialized lubricants. With newer emission norms that are soon going to become an everyday reality, there is tremendous pressure on lube manufacturers to come up to the level of the rest of the industry in facilitating a clean and green environment.
ENI Lubricants manufactures final products at its manufacturing facility in Mumbai after importing base oils from its Italian parent.
ExpertSpeak – Mr. R. Vinod Khanna, Regional Sales Manager – Industrial, ENI Lubricants, Apar Industries, agrees: “We have specialized lubricants for CE. Transition from Euro 4 to 6 is predominantly about reducing sulphur levels in the fuel. When it comes to lubricants, they must be able to work with low sulphur fuels. ENI has low SAP-based products which can work with Euro 4 and 6 engines. And most of the engine manufacturers are ready because globally they are big, and the same is reflected by them in India as well.”
Mission – ENI Lubricants is focused on increasing its brand presence in the current market, including the CE sector, in terms of volumes.
Market Ready – Globally, ENI caters to major automotive and CE brands in 100 countries that they are present in with Euro 6 lubricants. But in India they are waiting for the machines and manufacturers to get ready.
Mr. Khanna shares: “Euro 4 engines work on a different technology called Selective Catalytic Convertor where they need a product called AdBlue, and we are into those products also. We have launched similar products now in India for Euro 4 engines.”
Smoothing the way for expansion of its business in India is what is keeping ENI Lubricants busy!
