Ensol, emerging manufacturer of trailers and other transport solutions in the Indian market has hit a major milestone by obtaining the ARAI certification for its products. We spoke to Mr. Arun Sharma, Managing Director, Ensol Industries Private Ltd., to find out more about the development.

Please tell us about Ensol’s ARAI certification. How important is this for your company and how do you expect it to help your business?
We feel certifications like our most recent one from ARAI are very important for us like any other automobile manufacturer. It gives confidence to customers on the technology used and the kind of testing and validation done during product design and development. It also gives us confidence in our designs and manufacturing technology as the ARAI certification is a very rigorous process that involves design review and on-road testing by expert agencies.
On the whole, we feel it adds a lot more credibility to our organization to be compliant with the AIS 113 Code.
What have your major highlights during FY19 been and how has the market responded to your products?
This year being our first full year of operations, the key focus was on building the design & manufacturing capabilities and innovating new products. We have manufactured the first air suspension side-wall trailer which has already been registered and is getting tremendous response. We have also introduced the country’s first air-suspension tip-trailer with German technology. We are on a good growth trajectory as per our business plan and are getting positive response from our customers.
Our design team at EnsolLabs is continuously working to come up with new products and we will soon announce details of the same.
What are your expectations from FY20? What factors do you think would play a major role in shaping the sales in the truck application sector?
We feel AIS code timeline, implementations and strong governance will impact the organised sector for trailer and tipper manufactures like us. Given our current presence and market-preparedness, we are very much hopeful for FY20.
