ESCORTS launches new-generation ‘Hydra’ pick and carry crane and compactors

New product offerings on the anvil through partnerships with Tadano, Doosan and Comansa

Making its debut presence at bauma Con Expo India this year, Escorts Construction Equipment (ECE) asserted its market presence in material handling and construction equipment segments by showcasing an array of its latest products. It introduced three new products at the trade fair – the new 11-ton class compactor EC 5511, 3-ton class mini compactor EC 3664 and the upgraded ‘Hydra’ Pick And Carry Crane (PNC) NXT 13.

Speaking to MOTORINDIA at the expo, Mr. Ajay Mandahr, CEO of ECE, said that the year 2018 has turned out to be quite impressive for the CE market. “With customers showing willingness to explore the right products to suit their specific applications, the market demand is picking up. We, at Escorts, are ready with complete solutions in segments of material handling, earth moving and road construction to suit everyone’s needs”.

The latest EC 5511 is a new generation compactor which is designed to give optimum compaction performance with excellent operational efficiency. The most advanced Mini Compactor EC3664 that has also debuted is powered by an in-house sourced water-cooled engine. Additionally, the company also showcased Doosan Excavator DX-225 LCB and Rock Breaker, alongside the recently launched Hydra 13 Top Jack, TRX 15 SuperLift and ‘Jungli’ backhoe.

Yet another product that caught visitor attention was the CTI-500XL rough terrain crane queued for production under Escorts’ latest partnership with Tadano. “Escorts has been open to joint ventures and technical collaborations to enter new segments. We are confident that our partnerships with global players will enable us to tap the opportunity market segments and reinforce our leadership in the construction equipment space”, observed Mr. Mandahr.

Asked about the sales and service network in the local market, he said that the customer’s accessibility to services and genuine spareparts is of utmost importance to his company. “We strive to expand our reach by attaining 800 touch-points with authorized service centres across the country by the end of this fiscal. Our USP is value innovation and most competitive operating costs, for which this target will help”, he added.
