In the run-up to the 8th ‘Busworld India’ exhibition being held in Bangalore during August 29 to 31, Inter Ads Exhibitions and Bus Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) organised a road show at New Delhi to showcase the potential, networking opportunity and exposure to the latest technology and services, the upcoming show would bring to the country’s bus and coach sector.
The event was powered by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) and BOCI and supported by the Indian Tourist Transporters Association (ITTA) and the Delhi Contract Bus Association (DCBA). The office-bearers and members of the All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) and the All India Transport Welfare Association (AITWA) were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Vijay Sampla, Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of NCT of Delhi, was the chief guest, and Mr. Satyender Jain, Minister of Health, Government of NCT of Delhi, and Mr. Imran Hussain, Minister of Environment, were the guests of honour.
Mr. KT Rajashekhra, BOCI Chairman, Mr. Prasanna Patwardhan, BOCI President, Mr. Kultaran Singh Aitwal, AIMTC Chairman, Mr. SK Mittal, AIMTC President, Mr. Kishan Yadav, ITTA President, Mr. S. Jasbir Singh, DCBA Vice President, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Head – Sales & Marketing – CV Passenger, Tata Motors, Mr. Rajan Sharma, Managing Director, Inter Ads Exhibitions, and Mr. Pradeep Singhal, AITWA President, were some of the key dignitaries who graced the event.
Mr. Sandeep Kumar of Tata Motors, made a presentation on the various commercial passenger vehicles from the company to the audience. Speaking on the occasion, he said: “Tata Motors continues to remain committed to provide the best, safe, comfortable, affordable and sustainable public transport across India, and we look forward to participating in the forthcoming Busworld India at Bengaluru in August 2018.”
Presentations were also made by the heads of BOCI and ITTA who pointed out the problems being faced by this sector due to issues like fitness of vehicles, speed governors, total lack of parking space, etc.
Feeling encouraged at the enthusiastic response the road show evoked, Mr. Rajan Sharma, MD, Inter Ads Exhibitions, said: “We along with Busworld International, have been organising Busworld India for more than a decade now. In the 8th edition we have seen around 40% growth in the show size compared to the 7th edition. We have had three road shows his year which were organised in association with BOCI, in Chennai, Mumbai, and the current one in New Delhi. This year, Tata Motors is the platinum sponsor for Busworld India, the country’s largest bus & coach exhibition powered by BOCI and supported by ASRTU.”
Tata Motors joins Busworld India 2018
Tata Motors has decided to participate in the 8th edition of Busworld India being held in Bangalore during August 29-31, as the Platinum Sponsor. Together with the other bus and coach manufacturers like MG Group, Force Motors, Goldstone Infratec, S.M. Kannappa and OJSC Holding Management Company of Belarus, Tata Motors will present its latest bus and coach innovations to the Busworld visitors.
