The Rubber & Polymer Division of Accurate Group has set its sight on business from truck and trailer OEMs with focus on offering complete anti-vibration products for suspensions, engines, body and drivetrain systems along with NVH Solutions.
Here is a company that focus mainly on the OEM segment in domestic and International markets. ACCURUB, headquartered in Pune, is part of the Accurate Group that manufactures a wide range of automotive parts with five plants located across Maharashtra. Established in 1998 and backed by more than two decades of vast experience and continuous upgradation of technology, the Accurate Group has emerged as one of the few integrated manufacturing groups in India to produce commodities right from ERW & CDW precision steel tubes, machined and sheet metal components up to rubber products and rubber to metal bonded products.
Talking to MOTORINDIA, H S Madaan, Chairman, Accurate Group, said: “Our Pune facilities manufacture 24,000/MT of Precision ERW and CDW Steel tubes per annum of maximum Outer Diameter of 101 mm and 7 mm thickness. Further enhancing on manufacturing integration our Components and Assembly (CA) Division converts 10,000 MT/annum of steel tubes to tubular automotive components and assemblies, machining of forged and cast-iron components and sheet metal components hence extending all solutions under one group to our esteemed customers and VA-VE to our clients with cost effectiveness.”
Madaan added: “We went more into our integrated approach as a result of which ACCURUB has entered exclusively into producing anti-vibration rubber products, rubber-to-metal bonded components hence utilizing our in-house manufacturing capabilities of steel tubes & metal components with state-of-the-art manufacturing setup, in-house R&D and technical expertise, highly precise static & dynamic product testing labs, thus extending NVH solutions to our customers and producing two million parts per month. This was a major breakthrough for us, as we offer all solutions under one group umbrella and bag great trust and reputation of commitment among our customers. Today, commercial vehicle and trailer parts is one of our key focus areas and we are expanding our horizon to OEMs and global customers. We also export anti-vibration products to OEMs in Europe which together contributes around 15% to our total turnover.”
Accurub’s business is seeing steady growth year-on-year, driven by overall rise in vehicle sales and the company sees great potential in the automotive industry post BS-VI introduction. With its sharp focus on newly-developed products for the commercial vehicle and trailer segments, Accurub hopes to penetrate the domestic OE market with full potential very soon.
“We have already started manufacturing anti-vibration products for many OEMs and have since established our footprint in the space quite well. We would continue our business approach with OEMs in future and look forward for continual expansion”, revealed the Chairman.
When asked as to what it takes to be ready for future challenges that lie ahead in the automotive industry in India, especially the BS-VI transition, he replied: “It purely depends on customer specific requirements and we are in adaptation to new technologies and changes. We don’t see much of a difficulty in coping with the market changes as we are ready with our product development activities for the upcoming BS-VI transition.”
