The Go Extra campaign is creating a massive impact in Tamil Nadu, reaching truck fleets, drivers and mechanics through the exciting on-ground events at different locations across the country’s southernmost state. The dashing red Ashok Leyland AVTR 5-axle truck entered Tamil Nadu with its first stop in the capital city of Chennai where the first event was held at one of the most truck-heavy locations – Madhavaram-Manjambakkam. The event saw active participation from multiple truck / lorry owners’ associations in the city including Chennai Goods Transport Association (CGTA), All India Confederation of Goods Vehicle Owners’ Association (AICOGOA), Chennai Local Lorry Owners’ Asssociation (CLLOA) and Tamilnadu Edible Oil Tanker Lorry Owners’ Welfare Association, and also attracted interest from truck drivers and mechanics from in and around the event venue.
On day 2 at Chennai, the Go Extra truck moved to another important trucking area on the outskirts of Chennai – Poonamallee, where the camp was held at TV Sundram & Sons, a heavy vehicle dealership of Ashok Leyland, and a very popular and respected name in that part of the country. The camp was attended by key fleet customers and workshop personnel of Ashok Leyland, making it another engaging knowledge-sharing platform and an opportunity for the brands associated with the Go Extra campaign to share their latest offerings & solutions to the end users.
After Chennai, the Go Extra truck moved to Vellore wherein all local Bridgestone tyre dealers marked their presence along with key fleet customers, making it another successful stop for the campaign. The truck is currently traversing across the most important trucking hub within the state and will make stops at Salem, Namakkal, Tiruchengode, Sankagiri, Dharmapuri and Hosur before crossing over to Karnataka.
Stay tuned for all the action from the Go Extra campaign and find out the impact created by the one-of-its-kind initiative among key trucking industry stakeholders across the country.
