GoldSeal-SaarGummi (GSSG), the market leader in weatherstrips, has embarked on another capacity expansion with the setting up of its fourth plant, in Chennai, to add to its existing facilities in Mumbai, Daman and Ahmedabad. As reflected in the capacity expansion, the Indo-German JV has been a highly successful one and is respected by all major global OEMs for the two JV partners’ combined experience in innovation and design for EPDM Rubber Extruded Sealing Profiles & Weatherstrips.
The company’s new Chennai plant is fully ready and equipped to manufacture the latest innovative profiles for its new OEM customers in the South, namely, Hyundai, Ashok Leyland and TAFE, as well as others.
The GoldSeal product range covers all EPDM rubber weatherstrips for doors, including door seals, boot, bonnet seals and windscreen weatherstrips for nine out of 10 vehicles, be it passenger cars, SUVs, LCVs, three-wheelers, tractors or farm equipment in India. GoldSeal has emerged the preferred choice of most OEMs, thanks to its pioneering quality and ability to constantly innovate for which it has built an untarnished reputation.
Today the GoldSeal Group has a total of seven plants across four geographical locations manufacturing innovative EPDM rubber extruded sealing profiles of over 30 million metres per annum of weatherstrips, door seals, and window channels & windscreen rubber finishers supplied to OEM customers like Mahindra, Ford, VW, Tata Motors, Force Motors, Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland and John Deere, among others in India, and also to 23 export locations worldwide for the aftermarket.
