GoldSeal-SaarGummi (GSSG), an Indo German JV incorporated in 1998, has completed 20 years of brand leadership in India, in line with the track record of the German partner, SaarGummi, which completes seven decades of innovation in supplying weatherstrips. GoldSeal has been a pioneer in manufacturing weatherstrips and door seals, having supplied window channels and door seals for the first car manufactured in India. The GoldSeal Group is one of India’s first auto component makers, established in 1958 at a time when industry bodies such as SIAM, ACMA and IGCC came into existence.
At Auto Expo 2018 – Components Show, GSSG has showcased a number of innovative products at Stall 9, part of the Indo-German Pavilion, in Hall 7A. The company’s list of exhibits include the following globally patented products that it would be offering to customers from its facility in Ahmedabad: Vario Section – Continuous Variable Extrusion, Vario Proof – Integrated Sealing Compound, Solid Light – Weight Reduction, Seal Tex – Cloth Optic Coating, Seal Matic – Continuous Door Seal, and Carrier Light – Weight Reduction.
GSSG had presented all the above products at the Tata Tech Show in Pune and at the Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. premises in New Delhi during January, showcasing the German technology to the Japanese Design & Development Team for Global integration of Innovations in Global cars.
GoldSeal’s product range consists of EPDM rubber weatherstrips for doors including door seals, boot & bonnet seals and windscreen weatherstrips for most of the Indian cars. The company’s products have always been the preferred choice of almost all OEMs in the Indian market due to the company’s focus on quality. Today, the Group has seven facilities spread over four locations, manufacturing innovative EPDM rubber extrusions of over 30 million metres per annum for OEMs, aftermarket and exports.
