Growing brand value for Raj Petro’s ZOOMOL engine oils and greases

Raj Petro has made a mark in the automotive lubricant market with ZOOMOL, its premium brand of advanced engine oils, greases and RajPetro-pic-1state-of-the-art synthetic oils for a wide range of automotive and heavy-duty applications. With excellent product quality, backed by world-class technology, the company has already developed a large customer base which includes many of the top names in the commercial vehicle, construction and mining segments in the country.

The company’s new range of advanced engine oils and greases made from Group II and III base oils have been developed to cater to the next-generation vehicles for commercial vehicle, mining and infrastructure industries.

In a casual chat with  MOTORINDIA, Mr. Vinit S. Asher, Director, Raj Petro Specialities Pvt. Ltd., says: “All our products are tailor-made to suit the needs of our customers. For mining and construction applications, we have developed special engine oils which come with the USPs of good mileage, longer drain period, better engine life and very low sulphur levels.”

With home-grown lubricant players facing stiff competition from multinationals, Raj Petro feels its domestic expertise and market understanding would give it an edge over competition. “We call ourselves an Indian MNC, and an Indian company can certainly understand the Indian conditions and requirements better. Our technical team continuously works on developing new products catering to the specific demands of the Indian market. The products are launched only after extensive field trials with our customers”, adds Mr. Asher.

Approved by leading global OEMs, including Volvo, Scania, Daimler, MAN, Cummins and MTU, the ZOOMOL brand, just three years old, has gained wide market acceptance. “We will continue to focus on consolidating our ZOOMOL brand and expanding our customer portfolio. As regards the aftermarket, our team interacts with operators, dealers and mechanics across the country in order to create more demand for our products at the ground level. As for any new brand, our challenge is the initial market entry, so we need to play the waiting game. There are definitely no shortcuts”, he quips.

In addition to the OEM approvals, the ZOOMOL products have been extensively tested through field trials, all of which have delivered excellent results.w
