With his shift from JCB India to Hinduja Group in December, the much-experienced leader will add value to the latter’s automotive portfolio
Hinduja Group has decided to on-board Vipin Sondhi to its leadership team. Apart from other responsibilities, he will focus on consolidation, growth and future strategy of Hinduja Group’s global automotive portfolio. Sondhi is a very well-accomplished corporate leader and will join Hinduja Group from JCB, where he is currently Managing Director and CEO – India, Southeast Asia and Pacific and a member of their global executive leadership team. He is credited with transforming JCB’s India portfolio to a leadership position by bringing it on par with global standards of design, quality and manufacturing.
Sondhi will join Hinduja Group by December 2019. According to a statement issued by the company, his addition to the leadership team will add significant strategic depth to its global automotive portfolio.
Commenting on his new appointment, Sondhi said: “After an enriching period of over 13 years at JCB India, I look forward to moving on to my next challenge. I am looking forward to working with the illustrious Hinduja Group as a member of their global leadership team, helping them with their global automotive portfolio of which Ashok Leyland is a significant member. I am happy that JCB India is a vibrant organisation, with capable leadership to succeed me.”
