Venturing into the automotive component manufacturing, HOV Auto Limited has launched its first range of product portfolio for the domestic market at an extravagant launch event held at Jaipur recently. Primarily focussing on the heavy-duty trailer segment, the products include trailer axles, S-cam braking systems, and mechanical suspension for bi-axle and tri-axle trailer configurations. HOV, an acronym for “Heart Of Vehicle”, is fast expanding its pan-India presence with exclusive brand showrooms and service networks to strategically capitalise the market share in the product category.
Headquartered at Gurugram, Haryana, HOV Auto is harbouring world-class capabilities in its advanced manufacturing facility in Gujarat Industrial Zone, with superior engineering technology and manufacturing standards for trailer components.
“Our target customers are trailer manufacturers to start with” says Mr. Shankar R, Vice-President – Sales (OEM), adding that strong durability, technological reliability, competitive pricing, and lower maintenance costs are the USPs of HOV products. The company is paying more attention to the self-owned sales and servicing networks across the country to engage end customers and prompt servicing of products, he added.
Designed and tested to last for Indian operational conditions, HOV axles feature long grease change interval as long as 1,50,000 kms, with warranty of 18 months or 1,50,000 kms against manufacturing defects. Typical service items are common and easily interchangeable, while enhanced durability and non-necessity of frequent service brings down the cost of ownership, claims HOV. The S-cam drum brake assembly features high-quality powder-coated shoe assembly, non-asbestos liners, bushes, and cam shaft. Designed for frugal maintenance, the brake units are passed through an efficient production process and rigorous testing standards, he says.
HOV Auto is aiming to achieve strong market standing in the trailer components manufacturing segment in India. The company is planning to diversity its product portfolio by bringing in new products in the years to come.
