The new damping system HD 21 with special damping valve can be used for practically every type of articulation.
HÜBNER’s new developments in the bus sector focused on innovative safety technology were showcased at Busworld 2011.
With the newly developed double-pitch articulation, an additional pitch axis connects up 2-axle bus segments continuously. This makes a new generation of multi-segment vehicles possible. The advantages are higher transport capacities, greater comfort, increased safety and cost optimisation. In addition, this articulation design permits extension with a coupling mechanism – an important step towards flexible vehicle concepts.
Basic articulation HNG 21.0 is designed specially for growth markets in which cost-optimised articulated buses are required, to meet specific technical requirements.
Manufactured in well-proven HÜBNER quality, the basic articulation HNG 21.0 indicates the basic technical properties in functionality and scope of delivery, and has clear interfaces which are related to the pure articulation system. Although electronics is dispensed with, a high degree of driving stability can be ensured.
The new damping system HD 21 with special damping valve can be housed in the vehicle frame, leading to a more favourable articulation design, since the cast body of the articulation can be given a compact design with the minimum permissible design height.
Driver protection systems from HÜBNER can protect bus drivers from direct attacks. The semi driver guard can be installed at the bus manufacturer’s or as a retrofit solution on-site at the transport depot, as a low-cost, straightforward solution. The driver protection cabin is a modular system which offers comprehensive protection. It can be extended to provide full protection for the bus driver in high-risk areas.
The prototype of the future lift system EXEO III with its large lifting heights of up to 1,000 mm (above the base) was very well received. Thanks to its modular design with different lifting arm lengths, the EXEO III can be used in inter-city buses and coaches.
