WinAlign ® HD alignment system
Hunter’s 6-sensor WinAlign ® HD alignment system has been enhanced with the capability to easily measure and align twin-steer vehicles. The updated version of WinAlign ® HD includes two sensors on the reference (rear) axle and two sensors on each steering axle to ensure parallelism. Six-sensor technology makes this the only system in the world that maintains its reference through the entire procedure, eliminating sources of error that previously existed while also increasing speed and efficiency.
The new WinAlign ® HD with twin steer measurement capabilities, saves the technician time and effort on every heavy-duty alignment. WinAlign ® software version 14.4 includes on-board training to guide the technician through the alignment process and Hunter’s exclusive Quick Comp ® rolling compensation saves time by eliminating the need to jack each axle.
Hunter HD PowerSlide ® turnplates in flush mount configuration
Hunter Engineering’s WinAlign ® HD alignment system now offers PowerSlide ® turnplates in a flush mount configuration as a component of Fully Integrated Alignment (FIA). New flush mount PowerSlide ® turnplates offer a clean, level grade installation and smooth approach.
Hunter’s heavy-duty PowerSlide ® turnplates automatically lock and unlock during the alignment process to ease service and increase safety. The PowerSlide ® turnplates eliminate the need for dangerous jacking to remove cumbersome pins and WinAlign ® HD PowerSlide ® turnplates eliminate workflow interruptions and increase efficiency in the service lane.
Integration-ready Quick Check ® and Quick Tread ®
Hunter Engineering is pleased to announce the Quick Check ® inspection system and Quick Tread ® tread depth measurement system which are integration-ready. Quick Check ® instantly sends vehicle inspection data to an integration partner, allowing shops to drive efficiency and profitability while strengthening customer loyalty.
The Hunter equipment adheres to the iShop standard, developed and maintained by the AutoCare Association.
Hunter Engineering’s Quick Check® inspection system identifies needed service opportunities in less than two minutes. This system checks wheel alignment, tire tread depth, tire inflation, battery health, diagnostic codes and braking balance.
The Hunter Quick Check® and Quick Tread ® data facilitates many integration possibilities such as, displaying inspection results, inputting data directly into an electronic multipoint inspection tool and generating printed or digital service recommendations for vehicle owners. Integration also has the ability to track approved and deferred inspection recommendations, prompt follow-up marketing and increase service revenue. Shop management can also have total visibility into service execution and results to effectively manage both people and equipment.
Hunter is a ready and willing partner with industry leaders to provide fully integrated solutions to customers.
Inflation Station with QuickCheck ®!
Hunter has released a new Inflation Station that is compatible with Quick Check ® or can be installed as an independent system. Inflation Station quickly measures tire pressure and then inflates or deflates the tires according to the user-entered specifications. Technicians simply set the pressure at the Inflation Station or Quick Check ® console and connect the air hoses.
With Quick Check ® Inflation Station, the initial and final tire pressure readings are automatically included in the customer report. If an abnormal pressure is detected, the initial reading will turn red to indicate a potential problem. This enables the shop to present findings to the customer and recommend a detailed tire and wheel inspection. The report is available in print or digital form and can even be emailed to customers. With the new Inflation Station, shops can ensure alignment checks are always performed with the proper tire pressures.
The new Inflation Station can even be utilized to provide a quick, complimentary tire fill service to all customers. This valuable service can generate additional customer traffic, profitable service opportunities and revenue to every workshop. Tire pressure measurement units can be set for psi, bar or k Pa.
Hunter’s Road Force ® Elite
The new Road Force ® Elite from Hunter is the fastest diagnostic wheel balancer on the market and performs both a traditional balance and Road Force Measurement ® in less time than it takes to complete a conventional balance.
Hunter’s patented vision system determines wheel dimensions and wheel runout measurements on the Road Force ® Elite to save time, eliminate data entry errors, ensure accuracy and enhance ease-of-use. The vision system also completes a 3D scan of the wheel. This scan enhances Hunter’s patented SmartWeight ® technology, making Road Force ® Elite the most accurate and efficient balancer on the market. The system also features automatic spoke detection, which guides technicians to place wheel weights behind the spokes.
The Road Force ® Elite is Hunter’s fifth generation design to utilize a loaded roller since the platform was introduced in 1997. The Road Force ® Elite load roller applies up to 1,250 lbs. of force against the tire to measure the assembly as it would perform under the weight of the vehicle. Force Matching ® guides the technician to index and match the lowest spot on the rim with the stiffest spot on the tire to capture the best possible ride and prevent comebacks. The load roller also automatically measures lateral force with StraightTrak ®, which diagnoses and solves tire pull.
Tire conicity can only be measured accurately when the tire is under load, so Road Force Measurement ® is a must. The Road Force ® Elite also reports to HunterNet ®, Hunter’s proprietary web-based data service. HunterNet ® features helpful work management tools, the ability to access data in real time to track machine usage, performance and create reports.
TCX625 Heavy-Duty tire changer
The updated TCX625HD features a drop down inner roller to reduce service time by 25% and increase ease-of-use. The pedal-controlled inner roller saves the operator time and effort, eliminating the need to manually position the inner bead roller before loosening the outer bead. An enhanced lever also improves traction when mounting the outer bead.
The TCX625HD tire changer combines compact size with a unique mount/demount roller mechanism to provide high performance servicing of heavy-duty, over-the-road truck assemblies.
