In this exclusive interview with Rajesh Rajgor, Gyan Singh Kshatriya, Executive Director, Jagdamba Trailers, elaborates about the success of their brand and the company’s plans to meet the surging demand for its products
Jagdamba Trailers is known for top-quality trailers and tippers. The company’s products are full of innovative features and very low maintenance cost, delivering optimised profit for the end users. The company has recently added around 20% to its production capacity and is now executing a plan to further expand the infrastructure to beef up the quantum by another 50%. Meanwhile, riding on the success of tip trailers for various applications, it is now expanding its sidewall, flat bed and semi low bed trailers market. “We have been striving hard to strengthen the design language of our trailers. This has resulted in a quick acceptability of our trailers in all transport segments. The demand for our trailers from all around has picked up significantly post the pandemic and now we are operating at extended capacity,” says Gyan Singh Kshatriya, Executive Director, Jagdamba Trailers.
Achieving Milestones
The company is relying on a volume-driven business strategy and focusing on key accounts for bulk orders without compromising its retail customers. Strategic fleet owners and captive users such as Kalyani Transco, Matarani Transport, Millenium Suppliers, Global Group, Jindal Steel and Power, etc. have shown their trust with bulk repetitive orders and are enjoying the outstanding performance of their tip trailers. The company has achieved another milestone to supply utility trailers for defence application through the DRDO. It has crossed the 1,000 mark in FY 2022. Jagdamba Trailers became the first to get its tip trailers registered with 54T GVW coupled with 4 x 2 prime movers in the state of Odisha thanks to the availability of suitable axle and suspension kits from York on time.
Market Outlook
One of the triggers for this industry’s growth is the increasing demand from the coal and iron ore sector amidst the Russia-Ukraine tussle. This demand looks promising and is likely to be sustained till the end of FY 2023. Jagdamba Trailers is all set to take advantage of this demand with its commitment to supply high-end trailers.
