Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Subir Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of JCB India said “We have initiated a multipronged prevention, mitigation and ongoing support strategy with Asian Institute of Medical Sciences to deal with COVID-19 related patients. This is inline with keeping with our company value of supporting and enhancing the communities in which we operate in. We are certain that this partnership will provide the requisite assistance to the people of Faridabad, where our India headquarters is located.”
Asian Institute of Medical Sciences is the largest private hospital in Faridabad with the largest critical care set up covering Haryana up to Palwal, Hodal and Mewat. It is, therefore, eminent that a major share of the anticipated stage 3 outbreaks in this region will be diverted to hospital.
Dr. N. K. Pandey Chairman & Managing Director, Asian Institute of Medical Sciences said “We have currently converted and dedicated our emergency floor (thus isolating the rest of the hospital) into a COVID-19 Triage and Isolation Centre, with separate areas for medium, high and severely affected patients. This area will also have residential facilities for all staff on a minimum 14-day shift. The floor is already equipped with high-end equipment and support systems for patients including ventilators, CPAPs, BiPAPs, defibrillators, bronchoscopy, X-ray etc. Where we are now preparing to tackle the volumes expected irrespective of the extreme yet effective measures being taken by the Central Government”.
