“Visitors will get to experience world class technology in action at our stand in terms of telematics and Internet of Things,” Mr. Jasmeet Singh pointed out.

Sharing his immediate outlook for the Indian CE sector, Mr. Jasmeet Singh observed that the CE market has shown growth in the past couple of years. These are primarily because of Government’s investments in the infrastructure sector, strategic budget allocation in last three consecutive budgets and a number of projects getting announced are promising for the sector. Sectors such as roads and highways, railways, airports, inland waterways, etc., are the primary growth drivers for this sector. Roads and highways have been the key sector driving growth so far.

Continuing further Mr. Jasmeet Singh said: “However, to ensure sustainable growth we need two or more sectors to come on stream. Railways is one of the key sectors which has made some progress. Irrigation, real estate and mining are few other sectors that have to start progressing to make the demand sustainable, “while also adding that the construction of 83,667 kilometers of highways under the Bharatmala project and recapitalization of banks through record capital infusion of Rs. 2.11 lakh crores over two years will give a boost to the economy.

“The Government is taking strategic actions to propel growth and we are hopeful that these sectors will also start performing in the future,” Mr. Jasmeet Singh remarked.

Highlighting the key reasons why Excon is special to JCB, Mr. Jasmeet Singh mentioned that Excon is one of the biggest exhibitions in South Asia, hence, it is an ideal platform to exhibit products and services that have the potential to drive growth in the future. JCB has always been one of the large exhibitors at Excon and utilizes this platform to connect with our customers and showcase its entire range of products and technology.

Going further into details Mr. Jasmeet Singh said: “Moreover, it gives us an opportunity to reiterate our commitment to the Indian market. The exhibition also plays an instrumental role in bringing the entire industry together. It enables us to reach out to our customers and all other stakeholders together.”

Throwing light on JCB’s ‘Livelink’ technology, Mr. Jasmeet Singh mentioned that Livelink allows the user to remotely manage their machines. He further added that Internet of Things (IOT) is going be the next game changer in the manufacturing industry and JCB has pioneered the integration IOT within its earthmoving and construction equipment range. Today, over 40,000 Livelink enabled machines are successfully working in India.

The company innovated and introduced “Livelink” which is an advanced machine monitoring system that not only gives users the location of their equipment at all times, but also relays back all machine related information which can be accessed by customers, dealers and JCB.

The Livelink strives to deliver constructive, real-time information to increase profits and improve productivity. Both, the equipment owners and operators can access information such as fuel consumption, ideal time, machine location, fluid levels and service alerts on their mobile devices or laptops using the internet.

The JCB Livelink system helps in informing users by SMS alerts, the location and condition of their JCB machines. Geo fencing and Time fencing features also give out SMS alerts whenever the machine moves out of the designated, pre-determined geographical areas. This feature also works when the machine is being operated beyond the time that the customer has preset.

“Livelink has significantly helped in better fleet management of JCB products for our customers. It has also resulted in our product support network being able to provide world class support through preventive maintenance,” Mr. Jasmeet Singh stated.
