Today, we operate in a world where just supplying a good product would do no good, be it any field of work. Talking specifically about tyres, that too tyres for trucks and buses that traverse across every nook and corner of the country in the harshest of environments, significant amount of effort is required to listen to the customers’ voice, take in their feedback and suggestions and ensure the customer is kept happy, satisfied and above all profitable. And, if a supplier doesn’t do this, the result would be all too simple – a competitor comes in and grabs the customer away.
In this context, leading home-grown tyre maker JK Tyre has its own unique approach to connect with customers and ensure their expectations are taken care of in terms of the products and service support it offers them. As part of its efforts to engage and interact with customers, the company recently conducted a series of fleet conferences for its key fleet customers across the South, West and North regions at Mahabalipuram near Chennai. The meets saw participation from around 200 leading fleets from across the country, with engaging business interactions and discussions taking place during the meets.
The conferences gave an opportunity for the fleet customers to interact directly with the top management of JK Tyre who were present on the occasion and also gave them a much-deserved leisure time to bond with their counterparts from the transport fraternity. The meets also served as an excellent platform for exchange of ideas, voicing of feedback and suggestions to the tyre maker and sharing knowledge about emerging trends in the tyre and transport industry.
The JK Tyre team explained the details of its 360° value proposition for progressing fleets and the various customer-focused initiatives through which it strives to deliver the best sales & service package to the fleets.
Also part of the fleet meets was an awards ceremony wherein JK Tyre felicitated the outstanding performers in the logistics industry on various parameters such as fuel saving, adoption of radialization etc. Some of the renowned fleets made presentations on best practices in fleet management and shared valuable feedback about their association with JK Tyre, touching upon the past, present and future.
Another important highlight and a very insightful aspect of the meets were the visits to JK Tyre’s state-of-the-art tyre plant in Chennai which served as a unique platform for the fleet customers to witness the tyre manufacturing process and understand the details of the tyres they deploy on their vehicles.
The fact that customers returned back with plenty of takeaways and inputs for taking their businesses to the next level indicates the acceptance of JK Tyre’s customer connect initiatives, while it also explains why the tyre brand remains a dominant force in the market even today.
