“We are part of the Prawaas family since its inception. From the beginning we knew that this would be a success show. As predicted, the expo is bigger in its second edition, with impressive reach among different segments of the bus industry and fleet operators pan India”, noted Mr. Shatrughan Kumar, Managing Director, Trans ACNR Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

The company displayed new and improved version of its air-conditioning systems for buses of all types. This included the compact range covering the new ‘SL Series’ for small and medium buses, standard range for buses of up to 12 metres, and large systems with dual evaporators for multi-axle buses. “We offer a wide range of product options for our customers to choose depending on their application and design priority. That’s where our expertise lies, offering customised products that are cost-effective and efficient”, said the MD.

The latest improvisation in the products is the Multi stage piston unloading (MSPU) technology, which meets the dual objective of offering uniform temperature and improving fuel efficiency. “It’s a unique combination of temperature and pressure-based capacity control digitally, to maximise fuel mileage of the bus and offer the comfort of precise and controlled temperature inside the cabin”, Mr. Shatrughan Kumar said, adding that this technology can be offered in any system meant for large multi-axle or long haul buses.

He also noted that JTAC is working consistently on improving uniform distribution of cold air within the bus and overall air-conditioning experience, especially in sleeper buses. “Both the Silent and Astro series are being improved in this regard, with dual evaporators and equitable distribution of the AC delivery”.

Asked on the market scenario for AC buses, the MD replied that the rate of air-conditioning in the domestic market is improving every year, and the cost of AC units are almost constant right when chassis and other aggregates are increasing manifold. “The fleet operators are showing great interest in buying air-conditioned buses, since the maintenance costs have come down significantly with enhanced accessibility to service”, he added.
