KAMAZ 6520 truck launched

The KAMAZ 6520 GVW 25 ton model is suitable for mining and heavy quarry operations, granite block and limestone transportation, as well as irrigation and infrastructure projects that demand continuous and tough duty cycles.

KAMAZ Vectra Motors Ltd. has launched the KAMAZ 6520 tipper model of GVW 25 ton, a 6×4 heavy dump truck. The tipper model is built on a multi-axle of 6X4 configuration with 320 hp and torque of 1375 NM and 16 speed gear box, the first of its kind in this category.

The truck was unveiled at the recently-held EXCON 2011 by the company Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Denis Trifonff, in the presence of company dealers, officials and key customers.

The high-power V type arranged overhead cam engine boosted by twin turbochargers offers extra tonnage and longevity. The special 6X4 integrated axle design lends high level of stability, coupled with manoeuvrability.

The tipper is built on heavy duty frame, coupled with heavy duty suspension. It is least expensive to maintain and repair due to its simple design and easy handling by any trained technician.

The company’s state-of-art plant at Hosur near Bangalore will start commercial production of this vehicle model in the first week of December.

Last year KAMAZ launched its first model 6540 tipper with 8X4 axle configuration. So far it has delivered 210 units.

KAMAZ Vectra has also signed a memorandum of understanding with HDFC Bank for financing its trucks.  Under the MoU, the partners have established a production and engineering centre for KAMAZ business development in the right-hand traffic countries of Asia Pacific and Africa.
