The Kärcher HD 9/50-4 Cage high-performance cold water high-pressure cleaner offers a new concept featuring several additional components like an advance pressure pump, water prefilter, water shortage protection, pressure relief valve and a special rotary nozzle. Together this ensures ergonomic and more efficient working as well as improved wear protection for the pump.
Using the high-pressure cleaner is more effective with the pressure relief valve. When the trigger gun is closed, the pressure in the hose is reduced. This makes it easier to handle. The advance pressure pump ensures that the high-performance crankshaft pump is constantly supplied with water even if the supply is not consistent.
For a maximum area performance, the HD 9/50-4 Cage features a multi-jet rotary nozzle from WOMA, the specialist for ultra-high pressure applications, which is part of the Kärcher Group. The TD3000-SCS turbo nozzle with an infinitely variable speed of 750 to 4000 rpm delivers high and consistent cleaning performance.
Further, additional components protect the pump against wear and tear for a longer service life. The water shortage protection reliably protects the pump against the ingress of air bubbles. This prevents cavitation that can lead to piston wear and tear. It also switches off the machine automatically in the event of water shortage. A pressure switch also switches off the machine if it is not used for an extended period. In areas with a lower water quality or when water from tanks is used, a water prefilter protects the pump against the ingress of impurities.
With these additional features developed from experience in co-operation with MEVA, an internationally active formwork manufacturer, the high-pressure cleaner from Kärcher effectively demonstrates its strengths in the construction industry: this machine with a four-pole three-phase motor removes particularly stubborn contamination such as concrete adhering to formwork panels with up to 500 bar pressure and 900 litres of water per hour without the addition of cleaning agents.
Further benefits for the construction industry are the sturdy power-coated tubular steel frame, the cage that protects the high-pressure cleaner against damage and a crane hook for flexible loading. On surfaces that are often impassable, in particular on construction sites, the HD 9/50-4 Cage can be manoeuvred on two tyres like a sack truck. Two rubber buffers at the front provide stability.
